It’s difficult to find a really good vanilla cupcake. Too often, what I expect to be a moist and delicate single-serve cake turns out to be dry, unfulfilling, and overly sweet. Here comes my vanilla cupcake quest. I was determined to find the perfect frosting ratio for a flavorful, moist, decadent vanilla cupcake. It had to be simple and uncomplicated, but still worthy of an occasion.
After experimenting with several recipes I found online and watching several YouTube videos the one that worked the best for me was the one made by Preppy Kitchen.
Preppy Kitchen’s recipe gave me the perfect blend of moist yet decadent without the overly sweet taste.

Can any frosting cream be used to top the cupcakes?
Absolutely! You can even use a pre-made frosting cream if you wish to save time. For those who want to make their own frosting I will be providing a recipe for it below.
Easy Vanilla Cupcake Recipe
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F degrees and prepare a cupcake pan.
Step 2: Combine all purpose flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt together until combined.
Step 3: Add sour cream, milk, vanilla extract, melted butter, and eggs to a bowl and whisk together.
Step 4: Pour the wet mixture onto the dry one and whisk together until smooth.
Step 5: Scoop the batter and pour into cupcake cups. Make sure to fill only halfway into the cup so they dont overflow when baking
Step 6: Bake at 350F for 15-18minutes
Step 7: Cool cupcakes then top with a frosting of your choice
